For decades, I lived a double life. On the outside, I appeared to be a devoted husband, father, and Christian, but behind closed doors, I was enslaved to alcohol and pornography addiction. I tried to quit hundreds of times, hiding my struggle, minimizing the damage, and convincing myself I was still in control. In reality, addiction was slowly destroying my health, my marriage, my faith, and my identity.

In January of 2021, everything changed. After years of willful sin and self-reliance, I reached the end of myself and fully surrendered my life to Jesus Christ. I repented, not just emotionally, but completely, and committed to living one day at a time in obedience and dependence on Him. Each morning I asked God for the strength for that single day, and each night I thanked Him for carrying me through. Somewhere along that journey, God did what I could never do on my own, He completely removed the chains.

I now live in true freedom. Alcohol and pornography no longer control me, they are no longer temptations, they are simply choices I refuse to make. God restored my heart, my marriage, and my relationship with my children. This website exists to help men who feel trapped, ashamed, or hopeless discover that freedom is not only possible, it is available to you right now through Jesus Christ.

By God's grace, I am happily married, and my wife and I are raising two healthy, strong, and intelligent boys who love and serve Jesus. As a family, we have the privilege of leading Celebrate Recovery in Westerville, Ohio, where we walk alongside men and women battling addiction and learning how to live in freedom through Christ. I also travel around the country sharing my story in churches, recovery groups, and events with one purpose, to give hope and encouragement to those who feel stuck, broken, or beyond help.
